So today I launched the Kickstarter for a book I've been working on. I'm actually pretty nervous about it because I haven't put out anything creative in years, since my band broke up, and I'm worried that if it fails I'll lose the confidence I've gained through other good things happening this year.
The book looks at the place breasts hold in our society through a series of photos of things that look like boobs, jokes/anecdotes/stories about boobs, and some facts and history of boobs in our society. I partnered with a breast cancer charity, the Feel Your Boobies Foundation, to add some content on early detection of breast cancer to make this more than just a weird little book. Because they donated content the charity will be receiving half the profits from the book. Really hoping this book makes it to its goal because I have other things I'd like to do and this book becoming a reality will probably help me get the confidence to finish my other projects.
