so i'm thinking about getting a gun...
but i have something of a dilemma. i'm not big on guns really. i am pro a certain level of gun control and really believe that people don't need to carry them with them. thats a long discussion that i will get into if anyone really wants to. but suffice to say i am not really the gun owning type.
but i really like the idea of having a gun i can take out to the middle of nowhere and shoot some target or cans or stuffed animals or something. and i've been looking at getting a mosin nagant. cheap, bolt action, reliable and they come with a fucking bayonet... what's not to love. and of course in case of the zombie apocalypse i can shoot and stab my way out of a bad situation.
but the problem is that i don't really want to spend... well anything on a gun because i'm not a nut about them. and while the nagant is dirt cheap by gun standards (around $150 right now) when i first looked at them a local place had them for $88. So now i am reluctant to get one now that i've seen how little i could get one for.
on top of the rifle my friend also has a nagant revolver that are cheap as well and he loves it. so i could conceivably get 2 guns with ammo for under $300... shit... i was hoping i'd be able to hash out my feelings by writing them down here, but it's not working. damnit. should i just bite the bullet, as it were, and get the gun now... or wait until it may go on sale again?
