My roommate always wants to be heard, or so it seems. She has bells on her front door so you know when she's home. She has beads in the hallway so you're sure to know where's she's at at all times. She stomps around the place, slams doors, and makes a goddam ruckus at any hour. Whether she's oblivious to how she is, that is a mystery to me.
Everyone wants to be heard today, or so it seems. They're on their cell phones, talking as loud as they possibly can. It doesn't matter where it is. In a mall, in a restaurant, even in a friggin library, it does not matter to them. Their voice always stays at the same annoying decibal level.
HEY, THEY CAN HEAR YOU JUST FINE ON THE OTHER END OF THE PHONE!! SO WHY ARE YOU YELLING!!
People cannot just enjoy a day (or even a moment) of silence or solidarity anymore. Everyone always wants to talk, (about themselves, mind you), and waste your friggin time!!
OH SHIT!! I'M GONNA HAVE TO BE ALONE FOR 5 MINUTES!! I HAVE TO CALL SOMEONE QUICK...ANYONE!!!
God forbid someone would have to be alone and think for 5 minutes!!!
My roommate is one of those people that are rude and passive, that is until she wants to talk about herself. She then transforms into this seemingly sweet and animated person, and just expects you to forget the rest. HA! Then, the next time you see her she's back in her normal self-absorbed mode, too preoccupied to even say "hello."
Pretty fucking rude if you ask me. Regardless of how preoccupied I am, I always have the decency to say hello to somone, or at the very least acknowledge their existance!! Hardly anyone says "hello" nowadays to a stranger. Everyone has too much of an ego. It's pretty fucking sad. I refuse to become one of them. I wasn't raised that way and I won't let it become me.
So, why is it that people always want to be heard? Why is it that people always want their presence known? It baffles me. It saddens me. It pisses me the fuck off.
I wish I could just let this one go....
