I had such a great weekend! It was filled with decadence and drunkery....my two favorite things. I was very, very bad on Good Friday... and God...did it feel GOOD! It started on Thursday....
After work I headed straight from work to meet up with a good friend of mine and some of her coworkers at Chat Noir, a new restaurant/club with some of the coolest decor I've seen. It had a sort of French/Medevial/Gothic vibe....black and red velvet, fire sconces, red mood lighting and lots of darkness and anonymity. There, I was spoiled with delectable fingerfoods and an array of different drinks, all of which were ridiculously over-priced. Fortunately, I didn't have to pay a dime.
FUN. Then it was off to a party at a friend's house where about 10 too many people where shoved into an apartment the size of a closet. It was crazy, drunken, bruisin fun that lasted til dawn. Needless to say, I called in sick to work on Friday. The rest of the weekend was spent with family and a loved one. Spent some quality time with my parents (without my sister around which was nice), and had a great time. I love my mom and dad...they are such good people and I love to see them happy. More delicious foods, drinks galore and relaxation. Got some sunlight, played some basketball, played some drinking games...fun, fun, fun. And I now see someone in a different light. An epiphany in a sense.
Unfortunately, all good things have to come to an end, at least for the moment...
Now it's Monday and I'm back at work. It's one of those days where everything that comes out of anyone's mouth is getting on my effin nerves! Dick boss. Fake wife. Bleh. I want to go home and hide under a blanket. Is anyone else still jetlagged from losing an hour last weekend. I sure as hell am. It's antisocial day. I can't wait til the weekend.
So on a much lighter note, how was everyone's weekend? Hope everyone had a good time.
I'm starting to feel better. People are not getting on my nerves as much. My boss, yes. But other people, no. The day is looking brighter.
