I listened to the first Black Sabbath album this morning. It fucking rocks. There's nothing like evil guitar rock to wake one up from their morning coma.
I can listen to that album again and again. Bill Ward's drumming is so fucking rad on that album...and SO lacking from music today. I love it, love it, love it!!!
Yesterday I got word that King's X is going to be playing at the Galaxy Theater and I'm excited-as-hell to see them! Now I just gotta wait 3 MONTHS!! I also got turned on to the fact that the Melvins will soon be playing in Orange County, so I'm excited about that as well!
Well along with good news comes bad news...this morning I got word that my brother and my dear two year old niece got in a major car accident and their car fucking flipped over and everything. They're okay...or so the paramedics say...but it makes you realize how your life can change (OR END) in an instant. That's one humbling moment for you! Even though we all live life like we're fucking invincible, we're really quite fragile and delicate beings...like ants...and it could all be over tomorrow. It makes me want to appreciate every fucking second I have, and appreciate even the smallest most trivial things that go unnoticed everyday.
Another things that saddens me right now is this fucking state of alarm our nation is in over this fucking whole Janet Jackson half time show thing and how all these fucking bigwigs are having a backlash as a result and becoming censorship-happy. I think it is fucking bullshit!
Howard Stern is being pulled off the air in major cities across the United States for god's sake! Nice way to end his fucking career!! They're trying to revert us back to the 1950's, and believe me...it's not going to happen.
I must apologize to my friends on this site...Yes, I've been away, but SG is super-addictive and the ultimate timewaster...so I just had to back off. I look at all these members on here who write in their journal, post comments, and add to their friends list RELIGIOUSLY...and I'm thinking, how the fuck do they find time to do anything else!?? I guess they don't.
Anyway, all-in-all I'm in a great state of mind and am looking forward to the upcoming weekend.
I hope all of your's goes good as well!
Until Later...
Anika
