Last night I popped in a CD I had not listened to in a while. Skindive. As I began my descent home from work I turned up the volume and listened to it the way music is intended to be listened to, LOUD. Loud enough to drown out life. Loud enough to make my ears ring and the little, fine hairs on my neck stand on end. Loud enough to drown out engines, squeaky breaks, diesel trucks, angry horns, and the ridiculous beats of the lowrider next to me. I totally immersed myself in the music and went to another place. I love when a girl squeals. Danielle Harrison does it so well.....

And then I got home. And the music was silenced, at least temporarily. And I was forced to return to reality.

You should check out Skindive if you haven't already. For anyone that's heard them, can you recommend a band with a similar style that I can get my hands on?
