I was able to get back early from the kayaking in Tel Aviv so that was nice. It was only 12 and 16 year old heats that were running in the afternoon and I didn't feel like hanging around for that. The Olympic calibre athletes weren't present and although that could have made this a 'Games We Play' article had I covered the children, I prefered to get out of there and just make it a shorter news story.

I got a copy of my track and field article from yesterday's paper; always lucky to get a hard copy after the day it comes out because not many float around the office.

War has not been officially declared but we are at war. It makes me want to stay here even more now. The TA position is feeling less and less pertinent a reason to return to Last Chance U in the fall as the time passes since I was originally given the offer. I am still waiting to hear back from Bar Ilan. Since they haven't gotten back to me by this point on Friday I will now have to wait until after Shabbos which is exasperating because I would like to know now whether my aspirations to transfer there for fall 2007 are legitimate. I would like to do everything else that hinges on that knowledge such as looking for an ulpan and deciding where in the country I would stay until it commences.
