I am crying happy tears right now. I had 24 comments wishing me a happy birthday. All of you that did so ROCK SUPER HARD CORE. Thank you so much. I feel so loved. I am pretty sure that I commented back to everyone.
I got home around 10:45 tonight. It was so nice to be back home where everything is cheap and people don't drive with the intent to kill one another. Whoa Chicago traffic is like
.
Our hotel was so beautiful. I took pictures of everything and as soon as I can afford to have the film developed and get a picture disk I will post some pictures. Yeah someone stole my digital camera. I am so pissed off about that. I have an idea who it was and I am going to confront them about it tomorrow. I have some pictures from Shedd Aquarium on my cell phone. I am going to try to send those to the site.
Here is where we went:
Friday-Drove all over the Mexican part of town trying to find a freaking IHOP that we saw from the highway. Saw a big dog take a really big shit on the sidewalk. Good times.
Ate at Miller's Pub. It was pretty tasty stuff and they had Woodpecker Cider. Sweet!!
Then to the Auditorium Theater to see the Goddes herself Ms Tori Amos. It was a beautiful venue and she sounded amazing.
Saturday(my bday)-We walked to Millenium Park. OMG that place was so cool. I took a lot of pictures. They have these tall structures that have computer screens and project images of Chicago-ins. It was cool.
Then we walked to Navy Pier from there. I really wasn't that impressed. I paid $15 for a pair of sunglasses. UGH!! But I did get ice cream at a Ben & Jerry's shop. That was cool. We don't have those here in KC.
Then we went to Sears Tower to watch the Sunset. It was great. I am so glad that we went at night to see the city lit up.
We were all too tired to go out for my bday which was the original plan. Instead we went back to the hotel after making a trip to the liqour (sp) store and got trashed. I got dressed up in my gothy clothes and we went walking around the hotel and took pictures. I can't wait to show you all. I looked hot!! I hope the pics come out well.
Ended up crashing around 3 AM.
Sunday-Late check out. Then we went to Shedd Aquarium. It was my turn to drive. Ick!! Anyway Shedd was so great. I saw dolphins, whales, otters (I think otters are the cutest animal in the world), penguins, eels, everything that could swim basicly. I answered a question correctly during one of the shows and I got a sticker.
Q: What is the most important animal living in the aquarium? A: The Coral
We didn't have enough time to go to any of the museums but we are going back next year just for that. I am calling it 2006: The Museum Tour.
However being around all of those people has made me sick of humanity for awhile. It is so nice to be back in my element.
OK. I am done boring you. I had a really great weekend. I hope that you all did too.
