Despite the Beach's previous attempts at killing me, I have been coerced into giving it another try. I'm not sure if it's my friend's insistence or the unbearable heat and my lack of pool that has brought me back. It's unusually deserted which gives me a bit of optimism.
As I'm laying on the blanket, drinking my beer, my pregnant friend is beside me, toking away at the tiny joint she made out of the shell of a cigarette I donated to her (Relax conservatives. I'm taking her to her abortion tomorrow...). It's warm out, I'm buzzed and I have a cigarette in hand and a means to instantly cool down no more then a crab's throw away. I'm finally enjoying the unemployed life I should have been raping the benefits of over a month ago.
