My hands are cut and bruised. But it was worth it.
I spent yesterday evening/afternoon replacing a nice chunk of the electrical system in my sweetie's car. Distributor cap and button, plugs, wires, and coil. Also replaced her fuel filter which was a lot of fun - gasoline in your hair rocks! No, really. All this in an attempt to get her car running again. After all this, I check the fuel system relief valve and discover that there is absolutely no gasoline in the line, despite the gas gauge reading 1/4 tank.
So we buy a $3 gas can and $2 worth of gasoline. Starts right up. Vroom vroom!
Despite blowing so much money on such an easy fix, it was worth it to see her reaction when it turned over. I felt like a car goddess and I was her hero for the rest of the day...
...and last night.
