glassheart:

man...my mom just left town today, and I feel like I barely got to see her. And tonight I have two parties to go to, which will be the start of about two weeks of busyness that culminates with PROM weekend...yikes. I think I'll have to sleep through June.
anbuvampyre:
Lol last month was mad busy for me and whenever I looked at the calender I said to myself "wow fuck this month..."
belljar:
thanks for your good wishes. I really appreciate it.

yeah, the next couples weeks are going to be insane for me. and both sides of my family are coming to town, which i know is going to be totally exhausting

that's great. yeah, she's looked up to me a lot, so in a lot of cases, I feel like I have to have a balance between protecting her and letting her find her own way, but I'm glad that she felt comfortable opening up to me. and I am glad I can continue to be a resource so to speak. we've always been very close so it's really pretty cool
esme:
Innit? We've been checking out (virtually) some reasonably priced land in the Oakland hills....I'm sure there's a catch of some kind, probably that it would take a whole lot of work to be buildable. But who knows, maybe in a year or two we'll join you on that side of the bay?

the last couple days have seriously rocked...even if I haven't been able to sleep very well. my stepdad surprise visited me for about 4 days, it was tons o'fun. Plus the weather is just...amazing.

now if I can only find 2 extra tickets to monday's The Sounds concert...damn scalpers.

belljar:
yay for surprise visits. my brother surprised me by visiting my freshman year of college. so cool.
and yeah, the dropped charge thing plus the amazing weather made yesterday one of the best days in a while. seriously, i could not afford to pay court fees/fines right now, so it was most excellent that it was thrown out. all in all though it was pretty efficient yesterday (I found out my case had been thrown out 20 minutes after I arrived), so that too was good.
all in all, this whole process has been really easy. I hear all kinds of bad things about our justice system, but the police were nice and respectful and processed me quickly, and my case was thrown out efficiently as well. almost restores my faith in those things.

and yes, the sounds. very good pick. I would love to see them someday. they rock.
belljar:
oh, I absolutely agree. and like I said, now I'm free to do it again! (just not at the same location, as that would look bad. and I'm pretty sure the manager might actually strangle me.)

Oh god...getting over the worst migraine that I've had in a long time.

ps. Don't move to Lodi
subrosa:
Check.

Thanks for coming out the other night. Good to see you! You have a good time?

so, I realized I still have a couple of good years left on my PC, and by the time I get rid of it, Macs will be even better. So I am going to hold off on the switch for now, thanks for the feed back though.

In other news, life is moving along swimmingly.

belljar:
I switched to Macs almost 3 years ago and haven't looked back. one of the best things I've ever done for myself. I seriously can't recommend Macs enough. I say take the leap. biggrin
mogwa:
I'm a fan of macs as well...a little hard to get used to at first, but now it's fine.

as far as my stress goes...I had 6 people quit or give notice in the last month leaving me trying to juggle 12 empty shifts per week. I worked from 6:15am to 5:30pm today.

So apparently there are no wheelchair accessible cabs in the Sacto area. This means that tomorrow I will have to take one BART, one Amtrak train, and 3 buses in Sacto to get to my family's Easter celebration...ugh.
emilyjay:
What a pain.... Good luck...
