The last few days have been fairly chaotic, I spent 5 hrs in ER on Tuesday, just so they could tell me I am fine (Read: they have no fucking clue as to what is wrong with me). I am not the type of person thet typically enjoys spending his afternoons this way, so it was terribly boring. In the process of waiting around, somewhere around hour 4 I took this photo with my camera phone.
At the time I thought it was very artsy, but I realize know that that was probably just the various fumes getting to me.
Somewhere around the same time I found out that my grandpa was admitted to the hospital in Sacramento. The usual lack of inter-family communication ensued, and I had to work hard to make sure that my "elders" didn't ccut me out of the information loop.* To my Uncle and Aunts' credit, they did return my calls, and seemed to actually treat me like an adult this time. Perhaps that M.A. is good for something after all.
Last night was spent in a far more enjoyable manner. My roomie, mikemac581 and I went over to the city and visited our friend who is training at the Starlight Room in SF, and then managed to get into the Lovemakers' show at THE GREAT AMERICAN MUSIC HALL which was sold out. God Bless Scalpers. The show kicked total ass, and the band is as nice as they are hot. I was hoping to meet some of the SGSF group there, but there isn't exactly an SG dress code or secret handshake by which you can identify each other. If you want an idea of how much this show rocked, you should feel the inside of my head right now...but sooo worth it. Take a look at the pics in mikemac581's journal entry for today.
Also, a quick note. There have been a few questions (which I welcome) regarding me in that last photo that was posted. The white tube going from my nose to "the back of my head" is actually just going down my collar, where the one end is being discreetly tucked out of view under my shirt. The other end travels up my nose, down the back of my throat, and into my stomach. At night the end outside of my body is plugged into a machine much like an IV pump, and a highly balanced formula is delivered directly to my stomach for all of my essential dietary needs. The official term for the tube is an "NG Tube". The "NG" standing for "Nasal Gastric". If anybody has any further questions, don't hesitate to ask, and I appologize to heresy200 for not getting back to him sooner on this one, but I thought it probably was better I just posted it in my general entry so that everyone could benefit from his good question.
*It should be noted that my mother always keeps me informed, and never tries to hide things from me, but she herself was on her way out of town to meet her Bavarian lover in LA, and was thus out of the info-loop herself.
