Well I figured that it was about time I updated my entries, as it has been a full week since I last did so. Forgive me if the entry seems a bit different than normal, but if truth be told I am listening to Sondheim's Into the Woods while typing this, and I have a sneaking suspicion that it might change the tempo of what I produdce for you.
Life progresses in a pretty typical fashion, but tomorrow brings my sister's visit, and in turn an increasingly hectic fall schedule. Tonight may be my last in a while to just kick it and indulge in my anime and D&D...'cause my sister won't hesitate to point out to me how nerdy that is. But I enjoy being a nerd, so it doesn't really bother me. I do forsee a lot of long afternoons in the coffee shops of Eureka with my sister over the next week, during which we will determine what is wrong with the world, and set about fixing it...like we always do. Fun times.
Pretty much beginning tomorrow there will follow a series of houseguests and trips that will keep me occupied through the New Year. Which in some ways will be fun, but at the same time I will miss my mellow solitude filled days up here. Oh well, funny how I always complain about being bored until I am actually faced with stimuli, then I suddenly think of a thousand things that I would rather be doing in my room alone...other than the usual such ideas...hehe.
The good news in all of these guests is that hopefully my mom's friends coming in November from Europe will be able to get my Kilt and bring it over...customs won't allow it to be shipped over...I mean it is a kilt...wtf? Anyway, I am really excited about getting it, I have the rest of the outfit (jacket, socks, sporran etc.), but not the kilt. It is done in the Ancient field tartan, I am so psyched. Pictures to follow when I actually get it.
Anyway, not much more to report on this end of things, but I'll try to be better about updating, and also commenting on your journals well.
bye for now,
Ian

As for the car... I figure what the heck, I live in LA, why not get a convertible. Miata's are pretty much what's in my price range right now as I'm poor. But I think one would make it up to SF.
also, i think it's going to be hard for me not to totally nerd out on here for awhile--i think i'll have to start sending emails. let me just say this: i narrowed it down to 21 more feats.
