Once again I feel like I have very little to report, but I will make an effort none the less. It was a pretty mellow weekend, and I survived my Friday night excursion into coffee-house land, and was in bed by midnight. It was pretty uneventful, but the sushi was good, and the sake not so intoxicating as I remember it. Perhaps all of that whiskey drinking in Scotland toughened me up a bit. In fact, just to feel like I was actually out on the town, my mom and I took a couple of good pulls on the old flask (filled with the last of my Scotland procured Ardbeg whisky) . Anyway, that was my big night out in Humboldt for the week, but I am going out again on Monday night to an open mike thing at a local bar...mostly however, I am just biding my time until my buddy gets back from camping this weekend. I realized in the past 5 days in which he has been gone, that he is probably the only reason that I will manage to stay sane during this year sabbatical...especially after my stepdad heads off to Baja in about a month.

Good news however, is that the monotany of my schedule will be broken up soon when my sister comes down from Portland to spend about 10 days with me. Then about a week after she leaves, I head down to mikemac581's place for a weekend. All in all, October is looking like a busy month. So glad I rescheduled my LSat test date for December. Anyway, I am thrilled with my sis's visit, as she is one, if not the coolest gal I know. This is of course hard to determine since my ma is so rockin', not to mention a certian KC infatuation. But my sis is definitely in the top 3 chica's of all time. Hopefully I will get her addicted to this site as well, and pretty soon you will all get to know her. Of course I am betting that she hooks up with an SG before me. Anyway, I have also gotten my mum hooked on "Alias" now, so I have to get going so we can squeeze in an ep. before company arrives. We're all the way up to Se1ep2...oh yeah.

Anyway, thanks to hotcurry for the belief in my tape mixing abilites, hopefully it is deserved. Actually to be honest this girl knows me to well to be smitten, but perhaps her boyfriend will enjoy some new music around the house....
