I really wanted to write something witty and heart felt today, but I realized that I did that yesterday, and I don't know that I have enough reserves of either to write such an entry twice in one week. Also, being the slacker that I am I have yet to locate that Stephen King quote, but I just started reading "Snow Crash" a couple of days ago, so I have a feeling that I will have plenty of quotes in the near future...don't worry, I will do my best to restrain myself. Along those lines, is it wrong to be in love with a 15yr skater chick if she is a fictionalized character? This is sort of like the age old question of whether or not it is wierd to oggle pubescent school girls in anime films? Typically to this latter question I staunchly reply "yes, yes it is very wrong." Yet I find myself doing it anyway...*sigh*
in completely unrealted news, do you know how hard it is to create a mixed tape for a best friend who you secretly have a crush on without inadvertantly revealing your crushed out state through song lyrics? I mean how the hell am I supposed to create a mixed tape and suppress my feelings simultaneously? I think it goes against the very emotionally riddled nature of the musical medium...oh well, so much for the brief and non-heart felt update...hey, at least I wasn't witty.

I wish I had some definitive answers, but there are none.
Watch High Fidelity and listen to Cusak's ;how to make a mix tape' monologue. There's some good stuff in that one.
I'd say, just make the tape. Create your setlist and pace while you're thinking about her (forgive me if 'her' is a mistaken assumption) and how she makes you feel. Just make sure it's a well paced set of songs based on how she makes you feel and what she might like. Mix things she knows with things she might not.
More than one ssong by The Smiths, and she'll be on to you.
