WTF?!
The Bad:
> I seriously think that my computer is more susceptible to the full moon than I am. My DVD drive just stopped recognizing DVDs...weird.
> Both my mother and my sister decided to call me yesterday morning in regards to a phone conversation that the two of them had had the previous morning. My mum's voice mail message was short, and terse, asking me to call her. My sisters was much longer and barely discernable due to the sobbing...but I did gather that she wanted me to call her back as well. And stupid me, I actually did call both of them back. So I spent about 3 hrs yesterday on the phone, and by the time I was through, I was pretty annoyed with the whole thing. I ended up by basically telling them both that they had better sort it out before they both came to (my) town next week to visit. I explained as politely as possible that my first week of holiday plans didn't include dealing with their bullshit. I think they got the message.
The Good:
> After dealing with my family, I gave up on studying for Torts, and finished making a mixed tape for a friend's birthday. I have to say, I had felt quite good about it, considering that I even went so far as to hand craft the CD case insert...something I never take the time out to do. I gave it to her that same night (last night), at a b-day dinner where I met a few of her friends. I didn't think much of it, but everybody ended up leaving earlier than expected, so her b-day drinks were pretty much canceled. I had felt bad about that, because I was one of the lame-O's that had to leave early (impending law finals doom has that effect on me). However, just about the time I walked in my door, she called me to thank me for the mixed tape...she was about half-way through it when she called, and I could hear it in the background as we were talking. Apparently, she had gone straight home and put it on...and "loved it"...I was pretty flattered. I don't think I have ever had someone call me in the middle of listening to one of my mixes to tell me that "it was one of the best birthday presents ever." Crazy...anyway, that put me in a pretty damn good mood before I went to bed last night.
> Oh yeah, and I think I smoked the essay portion of my Torts exam this morning...which I had expected to fail. The MCQ section is anybodies' guess at this point, but I don't really care about that at this point.
The Ugly
> While at dinner with my friend (we'll call her E for now), an old friend of hers from high school and college starts talking about his ex, and he turns to E, and says "I probably shouldn't say this to you, but I think that a big part of the problem in our relationship was that [his ex] had such tiny breasts."
I just about gagged...I mean, up until that point, I thought he had been trying to hit on E, but if he was he definitely shot himself in the foot with that one. Hell, I couldn't believe that she didn't slap him...I know I thought about it. I also thought about mentioning how much I love IBTs, but I figured that might be a bit obvious. Anyway...once again I am amazed at the idiots that end up getting the girls (or at least their attention) in this world.
Anyway, I should go start studying for my Property exam which is on Monday. Talk to you all later.
P.S. Have I mentioned that I simultaneously love and hate the fact that the latest version of Firefox has a built in spell check feature? I love it when it works, I hate it when my vocabulary is more extensive than its.
