I have mixed feelings about this PROM weekend. Generally speaking it was good. But the dynamic was odd. I had people in from out of town that aren't very active on the site (one just joined, and the other a non-member). We had a great time together, but it was definitely a prom, a cliquish event that did not facilitate meeting new people. It was in that sense pretty much what I expected. What I didn't expect was getting ill Saturday before prom, and not having the stomach to drink more than a beer all night long. Bummer. I think I would have enjoyed the drunken revelry much more had I been...well...drunk.

Really, my favorite parts of the weekend, aside from a great pre-prom mixer friday night, had absolutely nothing to do with SG...

I want to make it clear that I am not complaining...in a way I am relieved...the mystery of one's first SG Prom is now over, so next year I can just enjoy myself knowing what to expect.
