so a couple of days ago heresy200 threw down the gauntlet and asked that I (we) wrote 20 things about ourselves on this site in a journal entry. If it had been anybody else, I would have kicked them off of my friends list. but here it goes
1) I am a slacker
2) I am a workaholic
3) At birth I was given a life expectancy of only 1yrI celebrated my 22nd birthday last July
4) Many people have praised me in my life, but I only consider it a complement when I actually respect the person who is doing the praisingone of the greatest complements I have ever received was from a friend who listed me amongst the five people he trusted with his life. In retrospect, compliment is not a strong enough word.
5) I have traveled extensivelynot as much as some people, bur more than others. Destinations have included Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Australia, Italy, France, the UK (where I lived for a year), and parts of the US.I really want to go to Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Tonga for a period of about 2-3months after I pass the BarI figure by then I will deserve it.
6) When I was younger I used to have nearly crippling panic attacks during stormsbasically they were wind/thunder phobiasI never really did anything for them. I eventually outgrew them midway through college.
7) I have an extremely strong sense of self-worth, except when it comes to attractive members of the opposite sex. For some unknown reason I just lose all confidence when faced with them
8) I can get very easily angered by things, and have a tendency to go off on tirades (I only do this around people I know). When I get going there is no stopping me, and my tongue is sharper than glass. However, if I am really angry, I just get very, very quiet. And if the source of my anger does not leave, then I really go off. I cant remember the last time I reached this final stage of angerI am generally a pretty happy, easy-going person.
9) My parents divorced when I was five, and since then my mom raised me. In the period of time since then I have had many male role models/father figures. All of whom I love and respect far more than my own father.
10) I have only lost two people whom I have deeply cared for. The first I had only known about 8 months, and the second I had known my whole life. They died within 4 months of each other. And as weird as it may sound for a self-proclaimed agnostic, I can still feel their presence in my life.
11) My mother and my sister are the two most amazing women that I have, or will ever, know. I count myself blessed that I managed to get them.
12) I am a virgin. I count this as neither a mark of shame nor of prideit just is.
13) I was 14 when I graduated from High School, 19 from college, and a year later I finished a Post Graduate program over seas.
14) I am hilariousno really, I am. Well, at least my friends laugh at my jokessometimes.
15) I grew up in Humboldt County, CA (5th generation), which in certain circles is famous for its amazing cannabis crops. Yet I have never ingested, or inhaled the stuff in my entire life. This goes for all drugs including tobacco, yet excluding alcohol. However if it wasnt for certain medical conditions I would definitely be a cigarette smoker.
16) When I really think about it, I have had a multitude of crushes in my life, but have only ever truly been in love with one woman. She remains to this day one of my closest friends.
17) I dont regret anything I have ever said in my lifeonly those things which I have not said.
18) One of my favorite things in this world it that feeling you get when you meet someone that immediately clicks with you. Someone who upon first sight, and immediately during the first exchange of words, you realize that you somehow know that person as deeply as you know yourself. What is the cause of this I have no idea. Perhaps it has to do with incarnations? There really isnt room her to speculate properly.
19) Never, under any circumstances fuck with my women. Family or friends. I will gut you for this. The same goes for any child, anywhere. This is not the result of some archaic sense of chivalry in which one needs to protect the weaker sex, but rather a lesson that I learned very early on in life. I suppose, when it comes down to it, you shouldnt fuck with any of my friends. But, like I saiddue to that one bit of personal history, I am especially protective of the women that I know.
20) In my younger years I was far more conservative than I am now. I used to think that my parents were almost too radical. I no longer think that. In fact I realize that in many ways my mother is far more conservative than I am.
