note to mercie: i'm just a pussy. i mean, i cried over one of the better songs from jeniferever just because of what breelan did to me. even jay pointed out that once that happened, i stopped speaking of arizona. and that was where almost all of my stories at least stem from. it's messed up, and it went from the worst thing, to the best/worst thing, to a chapter i'm not sure i regret but i definitely wish i could take or have back.

here's the song in question: (crappy live version)

but we all have those things. so many things we'd change.

"if only" is the story of my life, and, i suspect, a significant portion of the population; at least on here, anyway.
second only to memento mori. who cares that i adopted it from persona 3. video games carry more weight to me than most anything else. you spend enough time with anything, you become emotionally invested in it. music dictates every facet of my life, which i don't think is so odd. we all have our passions.

so what is everyone's favorite song and/or the song that thinks sums them up the best? not what other people have dictated (although i think i usually pin people down rather acutely), what you think.

honestly? i'm not sure i could choose. i can pick the perfect song for times of my life (the best example coming to mind is xiu xiu - baby captain for my most emotional post-arizona phase; another one being explosions in the sky - first breath after coma for my optimistic phase when moving there, when i still had hopes and dreams) beyond that, it's too many choices. melaniek's blog kinda made me think about it, so i'll have to ruminate further.

I think you know what song I'm going to say.

I love you mister. Anytime you need a hug, a shoulder to cry on, a pick me up, anything you need... I am only a few miles away. ♥

This song describes how I feel towards my real dad. Everytime I hear it, I cry.
