hello everyone, sorry i haven't written in a while. it's been kinda a good and bad week and a half.
1. i got a new part time job. i work at wendy's now a couple of days a week, which is nice cause i actually enjoy it and it will give me more money so i can buy those trivial things like food and clothing.
2. i loaned a freind of mine all of my seasons of btvs. (buffy the vampire slayer... I have them... And he's straight too... get that...lol) anyway. he said that if i give him a few weeks, he's going tofind me all of the seasons of farscape. for free!!!!! i love that show... it should have never gotten canceled. anyway. that will be nice.
3. this saturday...ie. in two days. my best freind is moving into my apartment with his little chihuahua named skeeter. he will be living in the bed room and i will live in the living room. His parents are gonna kick him out if he doesn't move out of his own accord, so he's moving in. I'm hoping that once he is moved out and on his own a little bit he will grow up and realize that a twenty nine year old cannot make ends meet by working part time at a pizza place and that's it, but if he doesn't. oh well. he's my bro. he's going to pay about seventy five bucks a month in rent basically. fifty and half of the internet bill. i am a little aprehensive about it. i have lived alone for years now and i'm not sure if i'm up for a room mate. but fuck it... he's my best bud. it'll work. has too.
4. this is the part that sucks. two people at the plant got blown up by one of the new kilns that they are building in the back of the plant. One of theme died yesterday. the other one will make a fair recovery and the doctors said that he was lucky that all that happened was that he has a broken leg and wrist and they had to sew back on his ear. but at least tim will live. david died though, leaving behind a wife and four children who only two of are barely out of diapers.
the guy had only been working at the plant for a month or so. i never knew david, but i've known timmy for four years, and though i'm sad that dave died, i'm happy tim didn't.
i have started to hear rumors around the plant that they might shut it down, and if they do that, i'm out of a full time job. i hope that they don't. but they may have too. we've had osha and lawyers all over the place since last friday, and all the bosses are running around trying to fig out what to do...
it's just a screwed up situation. i've never worked at a job where people had actually died. it's wierd. david gave his life for a ten dollar an hour dead end job.
i'm going to go over to tims house monday and visit him to see how he's doing, he just came home from st. louise today and he lives right accross the street from the plant. see how he's holding out and all, he won't be coming back for a while because of his injuries.
