a while ago i went to see ultraviolet in the movie theatre in town, there was an abandoned lot full of trees next to it and they were filled with birds. i stopped and listened to them when i was getting into my car. just stopped and listened to them, there must have been thousands of them in those trees. i heard their chirps perfectly, it was a cocophany. As i listened i could hear traffic going by. the world started to warp as i listened. the more i listened, the more the birds sounded like screaming. thousands of screams of pain, the trucks and cars going by sounding more like demons. i felt tears ebb in my eyes. all i could think was: this is what hell sounds like. this is hell. i am in hell.
