i love jazz and big band.. in the winter i love to sit and listen to each note played so carefully.. i think it is the most still i ever sit.. it is almost like a daze that i can not pull myself out of.. so that was my thought for today.. no class today because of snow that is all it has done this winter beside be really cold.. so i am just doing the weekly cleaning, we usually clean on saturdays but my girlfriend has to go to west virginia tomorrow to get a new car.. our oh so dependable beast of a car finally died.. it was sad.. personally i would never own a car but its is a drive to school through a couple little towns so education wins that battle..

kind of a mish-mash of styles between the stride piano of tatum, the classic bop of the trio and keith jarrett's new-school, post-jazz-messengers work. in the classic big band swing mode, i'm looking for a good mary lou williams cd to pick up soon.
