So...last night

A friend of mine from AiW, Erin, and I had planned this trip a few months ago to go to the Eastern State Penitentary(sp?). And last night we went...

I will never go back there again. I won't go back for all the money in Philidelphia. I have never been more scared in my life.

To start, there's a guy outside the prison, while we're all waiting to go in, who is dressed in a straight jacket and will chase you and he will get in your face and snarl at you. Then while they're putting you into the correctional facilities bus you get to wait in line for your turn and watch TV with the history of the prison on it...with the actors walking through the line jumping out behind you and shit.

From walking through the bus, you get to go to the Intake part of the tour. Guys and girls get separated for a minute. You go through booking I guess you could call it, walk through this maze looking thing with them banging on shit all around you. After that, it's the Maximum Security part. I can't even talk about that. Then you go to Thirteen Rooms, why its called that, I don't know. The Morgue is one of them...with a "dummy" hanging out of the ceiling, that reaches out and tries to grab you. Last of all is the Tunnel Escape. Which thanks to the special glasses, black-light paint and guys dressed up in it, looked like a bad acid trip.

All in all, it was fun, kind of. And it scared me enough that I refuse to go back.
