The Pixies fucking ruled. The nine hour trip up to Spokane seemed like nothing. My friend Jon came with me and we listened to Sonic Youth and Yo la tengo (among other musical wonders) the whole way there and back. We camped out on the Spokane river and made hot dogs over the campfire. We climbed trees at night to get a better view of the stars. On the way back Jon rolled spliffs in the drivers seat while I steered from the passenger seat. We pulled into a teeny town called Ritzville and had a picnic on their golfcourse. We came to the Stonehenge replica when the sun was setting. It sits on a cliff looking over the Columbia river and a small town below. We went to the edge of the cliff and talked until it was dark. The whole weekend was amazing...Im not sure, it may have been a dream and on top of all that...the pixies fucking ruled. The house was packed and they played every song you could think of. I decided that Im going to go camping all summer and if anyone wants to join me then they can and it will be amazing.
