In my imaginary remake, Morla the Aged one is played by Marlene Dietrech in a pristine mansion in the middle of that swamp of sorrow. A juxtapostion something similar to the bag lady in Labyrinth. I suppose Aged would have to become Ageless.
The first southern oracle is half buried in sand dunes on an overcast day, surrounded by ruins. The second lies just off the beach, maybe 50 feet into the water under those imposing night skys with infinite stars. The luck dragon isn't a giant poodle dachshund crossbreed with the fakest muppet eyes ever.
The wolf has impala horns and castigates Atreyu into despair rather than attacks. Maybe Atreyu futilely tries to kill it but it does nothing but laugh.
I think the rest of film is just fine really other than having horrible pacing. I should buy it if i ever come into money again.
