I just now saw it again since it came out. I confess I wasn't impressed. I enjoyed it but no one would shut up about it, everyone was in love with Frank and no one realized Mad World was a Tears for Fears song. And it reminded me too much of myself when I was in public school, awkward and outspoken. The enmity tied to it outweighed how good of a film it was.

I like it a lot more now, mostly for the details I'd forgotten: the 80's references, cellar door and the beauty of the wormhole.

The soundtrack is a hard punch to my stomach though and makes me wish I could travel through time myself. Every one of those songs have become precious to me on its own accord and realizing that in 2001 I heard them and felt nothing... I feel regret.

hmm.. 6/6/06... I should do something. I guess the fresh cigarette burn on my wedding ring finger will do if I have no better ideas tomorrow. I don't know what I can do let alone accomplish. not right now.
