I've started sneaking kaluha in my chai tea so I can start drinking at breakfast.

I'd rather be in the boondocks than in the woods. After two weeks I finally saw the stars out here. A clear night comes once a blue moon, but naturally not on the actual night of a blue moon. Beautiful, but hardly worth the price. Blue Jays are assholes. I was totally excited when I thought there was a hawk on my back porch but it was a jay scaring off all the other birds so it had the bird feeder to itself.

I came up with a beautiful thought. A crypt, carved into an iceberg. A drifting, beautiful, pure white/blue tomb. Another brilliant idea that would be almost impossible for me to capture on canvas. It was a lot easier in hi-school where it was "lets paint just a sea monster". "lets paint just a floating island". Actually it was more like "lets add colour to these drawings as an afterthought".

But now nothing in my head is simple enough to be captured in a single still image.

I'm going to portland this weekend and I'm nervous and I shouldn't be. This would be anyother weekend if I had never left. I wouldn't have nearly as much riding on it.
