My best birthday gift may have been the complete lack of hangover on Saturday morning.
That or the tongs.
That was probably the most enjoyable birthday outing that I've had in a few years.
I do have to admit that there were a couple of things missing, though.

Other than that, a wonderful night indeed.
From what I recall.
I don't think I really realized how much I'd had to drink until whatisthelight, Sydni and I went to Minnie's, and I tried to buy WITL a present from one of the conveniently placed vending machines in the bathroom. Upon doing so, I discovered that putting quarters in the slot and turning the handle had become the physical equivalent of quantum mathematics.
I granted the machine its victory and retreated to the table to lick my wounds. Little does it know that one day I will return, and sweet vengeance will be mine.
I will close this journal with the following advice:
Listen to the new Tom Waits album.
I don't care if you have to kill a hobo and harvest his organs for the money to purchase the record, just do it.
