Last night I went and saw Fahrenheit 9/11 with vikpreZ becuase what else do you do on the fourth of July if you don't have access to bottle rockets or children to aim them at?
After the movie's conclusion we snuck in a quick pitcher of Pabst before last call.
At least I kept up with the alcoholic traditions of the holiday.
He and I parted ways, and I prepared to leave. As I drove vaguely homeward I realized that in no way did I feel like ending my night yet. I knew Roxy mentioned that she was working that night and I thought that it would suck to spend a fourth doing nothing but working. So I had what you might call a flash of inspiration.
I pulled up to the club and asked the door guy if she was still working. He lied and said he didn't know so I just sucked it up and paid. I ran into her there and made plans to meet up after she was done. We ended up going to Minnie's and having late, late night breakfast, which is one of my favorite things in this world. We exchanged stories and general B.S. before I took her home.
I pulled up to my driveway with sun just rising and the moon just starting to fade. Between the two was the fog starting to roll in off the Sound. The three combined created an atmosphere that could fairly well be described as beautiful. Then I crashed hard. For how boring that day started out I managed to end up doing way more than I would have expected.
