Tonight I saw The Good Life. Jake Bellows of Neva Dinova did a surprise appearance and I got to meet him afterwards.
It's one of the top 5 shows I've ever been to, and I think with tonight's bands my "Bands I've Seen Live" list has broken 200.
I met Tim Kasher, my hero, as well as the rest of The Good Life. It was all I could do not to gush and spill everything and tell him that he is a genius and the reason I started reading Bukowski and Fante and that his two current bands are both on my all time Top 5 list for bands, songs, and live shows. That Cursive is my favorite band. Instead I thanked him for coming and told him it was awesome that Cursive came as well earlier that year and i got a picture and said some other random shit.
Tonight was as close to perfect as it gets for me. It would have made it perfect if I had a nice warm body in my bed to hold, but as there isn't I suppose I just won't sleep tonight.
Also my car was almost towed, but it wasn't! How could the night have been better (realisticly)? I don't see how.
