9/28: Tell us about a time you met an internet friend in person.

Hey guys! Figured I would do a little homework and write a blog since I haven't in a bit :)
So the first time I met an internet friend in person was a long time gamer friend from California that I had in my Xbox360 days. We had been friends online for about 2 years when we met, mostly playing games like Gears of War and COD together with a few other online buds as well. Anyways, he had actually started talking to one of my girl friends and building a long distance relationship with her and I ended up talking him into coming to town to meet up and meet her as well. He booked a plane ticket and flew out! When we went to meet him at the airport, we made a dorky welcome sign that had his name and I think I drew some tacos on it too (lol). It was really cool to finally meet in person and he ended up moving to town for a few years even! Weird thing though, was that I barely hung out with him when he came to town or lived here... I'm such an online person at times... :shrug
Another time more recently that I met some online friends was back in January when I attended AVN in Vegas! I was able to meet a few of my members who I have become fairly close with and talk to on a daily basis. One of them even came to pick me up when I had flight issues and had to fly into Arizona and drive to Vegas. It was fairly nerve wracking to meet in person because believe it or not I am super shy at first... but eventually warm up to my bubbly self. I spent most of my time in Vegas with these people and had a lot of fun meeting them in person. I really look forward to this years AVN and hope to meet a few new friends as well!
