If I should die in a car wreck
may I have Van Morrison on my tape deck

Today I'm in exactly the same mood as this song.
Oh, music can be so wonderful and touching. And sometimes it has such a beauty that you surely know God has been around when it was made. I'm not religious at all, but music is the only case where I get an insight in divinity.

Beautifully said.

And you just gave me the best compliment ever, so i kiss you!

Since my trip to USA some weeks ago I am becoming more and more patriotic. Patriotic for Europe. That's kind of strange, but I love this little continet consisting of so many different people, so many different languages, so many different attitudes and ways to live, but most of them are united and many of the eastern countries want to join. (Even Turkey) Today the...

Oh, you are making me feel so envious. Why oh why can't I live in Europe? Please don't apologize for feeling proud and patriotic. Americans have done it unaplogetically for years -- you'd have to paint yourself in the colors of your flag and chant ridiculous slogans to even begin to be as over the top jingoistic as many Americans I have met!

That said, I like to think there IS diversity in this country, but indeed, it is tough to find it, especially if you were in the godforsaken midwest. Blech! It's a horrid monotonous landscape there. Come to Boston or New York sometime! Boston is petty and small-minded, but you may actually run into people from the US who don't support military intervention in Iraq, or you might even run into ME, and I would take you to eat all kinds of diverse and delicious meals, and even show you how to find beer that a German would drink here. wink

From what I know about Europe, i'm pretty awed by it as well.

I also am one of those types who gets angry and develops a little grudge, but then forgets it too quickly. Often i'm completely justified in my anger, but I just don't have the capacity to hold on to anger for too long. I'm not sure if that's a good thing, or a bad thing...

Because I am a tender one I can play this game the whole day long. What a cute little frog. I love all the games on this site.
ratsonjulia:
cute little frog indeed.
(now on my bookmarks--thanks a lot--now I have yet another way to waste time...)

That's the only way I can accept colds: Beginning on Thursday and almost gone away on sunday. Those other variants are hell. I can live with severe headaches, diarrhoea, nausea etc., but don't give me a cold and make breathing hard work. I hate that.
catculus:
I hate going through like a box of kleenex in a day

Gute Besserung - get well soon! This time of the year, colds seem to be lurking everywhere...
May Eira be with you!

How could there be happier moments in my life than this: Sitting with a friend in a cuban bar, half drunk, under a big portrait of the great leader Fidel Castro and heavily discussioning frameworks of ideas of new sociological theories. Unleashed creativity and joy all over. That's Rock n Roll, that's when I live so genuinely, that's when I'm full of blood. That's when...

Brlp, ok, I did it already on the original thread, but here again:

I am ...... a silent german guy who watches first and then talks. I hate any kind of superficiality but don't take things too seriously that are not really important. I cannot live without making music and try to live everything in a passionate way. I love and I hate, I am...

Some wrote this in her journal. It's so pretty:

"i'm not interested in spending a lot of time on the internet anymore. i have changed so much from being physically involved in the world around me; having a lot of long conversations in person with people. i used to escape long conversations quickly due to nervous energy (coffee) and a desire to check my email (why?). i'm not going to do that anymore. i want to talk to you and i'm not afraid to spend a lot of time doing that and i'm not afraid to look into your eyes."

Hope you find that girl! Good Luck To You ^_^ Paulie O

Yep, finally I also do this diary-weblog-thing. But don't click on it, it's entirely in German. smile
I always wanted to do this and for a while I tried to use this journal here, but especially during the last week(s) I figured out that I completely fail expressing matters, that are very important to me in a language that is not native to me. The...

Good to be back.
I love my country, though over here it is not PC to say that.
I like that people have more taste (e.g. kitschy things are embarrassing and not taken to be pretty), they are mainly modest and most of them very dissimilar to each other, everyone is unique and tolerated to be so. They don't talk so much about freedom and...

I'm a believer. I believe almost everything I'm told. I don't know if it's a virtue or just naivety, but I refuse to consider "can that be true or should I doubt it?" or "Is that really meant the way it's said?" every time people tell me things - no matter how often it turns out in the end, that I've been the idiot again.
