For many years, I have said I want to get out of Sacramento. I realize now that I love Sacramento, I just dislike my circumstances. I'm going to move to the Bay Area, get a change of scene and circumstances, and then possibly move back when things are better.

I found out this morning that I am not, in fact, in a lease with my apartment. I want to give my roommate a couple of weeks head start to find herself a new place to live because I get the feeling that the landlord here doesn't like her. Two weeks is a good head start, right? Then put in my 30 days. The thing I'm trying to figure out is when I should put in my two weeks notice at work, because honestly, I'm tired of working for Sephora. I've come to hate my job.

Eric and I are most likely going to be moving to Oakland, which will be partway between his work, and the school I want to go to, Aveda. I have an appointment with admissions on Monday. We'll see how things go there. I wonder if it's too soon to start looking for an apartment?

I've never instigated a move like this, so I'm not sure how to time everything. Any advice would be welcome
