Damn! For the last two weeks I've been trouble-shooting the digital count-down circuit I had to make in lab. The piece of crap won't work. Oh, after spending tonight rewiring it for the unpteenth time and then changing capacitors, one of the resistors and the LED--just because, the LED wouldn't have mattered--I finally got the fucker to count down from 0 to 1 via 9,8, 6,5,3,1. Arrrrrggggggh. Then I messed with the capacitor again and the missing numbers popped up on the counter for all of one cycle! Then, to top the night off, I decided to test the proto-board (the plastic and metal thingy you hook wires up to in order to built a circuit board) with my oscilliscope and Lo! the freaking board was faulty! For two lousy weeks I've been working with a faulty proto-board!

The fun part was rebuilding the circuit on a new board in the twenty minutes that were left in lab. Just as I got it finished and hooked it up--yep, there was power, nope the counter wasn't counting--the instructor called time. Sigh. Next week, I start trouble-shooting the new board all over.

Oh well. I'm done complaining. Excuse me while I go ogle Echo.
