Welp! Just wrapped up the first session of an approximately three-session Call of Cthulhu (d20) game. We had two experienced player cancellations leaving two old-schoolers and four n00bs--never a good thing in CoC. I'm not sure that everyone grasped the idea that the start of any CoC adventure is the most boring since that's when the characters split up and do the research. I tried to balance it out, but two of the n00bs' characters ended up having sex in the local university library while a third randomly read fragments of no less than three Mythos texts and got his hands on two complete ones--along with the accompanying sanity loses, Mythos skill points and spells. Next session should be real fun.
