I've had a long and weird (couple of) day(s) at Bristol Frenchay. Woah. The national health service has some fantastic staff, and appears to be led by donkeys.

Yes. You're exactly right, about that feeling. This comes without question, and it's just so... weird. In the best way possible, but weird nonetheless.

Hm. Ever see The Departed? If you were to separate all the native Bostonians from the transplanted New Yorkers, and tone down the movie-version of that accent a notch, there ya go. I like it; I think it's cute, in a way. Every time I am in that city, though, I only ever seem to meet and speak with New Yorkers who'll hear my accent and feel compelled to ask where in NY I'm from.
