The first time I saw Jean Claude Gaugy's work in person was in 2012 at a gallery in downtown Chicago. I recognized the picture from an online search I had done of his art. His work is unique because he doesn't just paint on canvas, some of it is abstractly carved into wood then painted to create his unique style. I am making it a goal in life to own any of his pieces.
