hello, quiet girl. london calling.
i'm still reading if you're still scrawling.

listening to stories your ghost voices whisper,
of pacific night/mornings & the air growing crisper.

draw a circle in the sand,
a portrait of things you can't understand.

i'll pretend not to notice black secrets in your chest,
slip you pretty sacrifices until you acquiesce.

i could be your dream, you could have me every night,
and if by morning you've forgotten me, thats okay, i'll be alright.

the same song slices through black smoke clouds & ink,
you are in my head,
i'm things you shouldn't think.

alone girl thoughts, so easy to construe,
vulnerable & fragile girl, believe what must be true.

the journal went to distribution today.
i didn't think that was supposed to happen for a few weeks now so it was a pleasant surprise to get a bouquet of flowers saying congrats from the ex-agent. i had my ass at barnes & noble in about 2.5 seconds, had to seriously restrain myself from having a good wank right there in the bookstore. just to see it on the shelf..... biggrin biggrin biggrin
it's not a real big deal, just a crap little lit journal but i have loved this journal for years & had my work denied by them 6 times before they bought this poem that i personally think is sophmoric & flowery but fuck it, yo.....
& i am just lamers enough to buy several copies & take photos of it.... tongue

the journal.....

table of contents....

my crap contribution....(though to my defense i also have copy editing credits so i did more than this)....
