My dad is coming into town this friday and staying at my place for 2 weeks. I hadn't really thought about it a lot until I read about Uncommoncold and her experience with her dad. I think this will be the longest amount of time I have spent with my dad in about 8 years. He lives in Denver and I only end up seeing him once a year. We have been friends for awhile and get along well, but we're both busy doing stuff we do, and don't end up talking a lot. It will be good to spend some time with him and strengthening that bond.

What will be even cooler is we are going camping this weekend and bringing my 7 year old nephew. This is the first time when it''ll be just us out together. I'm really looking forward to seeing our friendships with each other grow, and how much we share and how much we are different. That is powerful voodoo, and I can't wait to experience it.
