After action report on the SGDC Game Night 9.

Summary: KICK ASS.

Details:

I rolled up at about 7:15. I left Jacksonville, NC at noon. (Good thing I allotted enough time.) A good half hour was spent decoding my MapQuest directions, which got worthless fast in downtown DC. Good old-fashioned common sense land navigation helped me out immensely.

SaintInsomniac was a very gracious host, allowing me up 45 minutes ealy. Also present were LustEye and Dovanna, two amazingly cool and gorgeous ladies. Dovanna brought her Wii and LustEye likes Transformers, so they both are awesome in my book. We chatted about gas prices and had some snacks.

I met 666Irish who has CHARISMA. Seriously. Very cool guy, and the epitome of the old saw "voice for radio". He sounds almost exactly like my uncle (a cool uncle, I never had a "where-did-he-touch-you" uncle, thank you very much), and is a superb conversationalist.

Ryker is GORGEOUS and fun and funny and smart and a pleasure to talk to. I fulfilled a lifelong dream when I met Morgan , who, despite being sick , was everything I imagined her to be. Articulate, stunningly beautiful, amazingly friendly, and an ubergeek.

Dierdre showed up and physically attacked me, for I was smoking and she knows I'm trying to quit. However, it was an SG par-tay so I allowed myself to cheat. Dierdre, for those of you who don't know, is ten ninjas. I can think of no higher accolade to bestow. (On a good day, I can muster up one and two thirds ninjas.)

Cairo was there too and she's fantastic too. It was soooo incredible to meet her and her husband.

Ahhh there were so many cool people there and I got so wasted, I can't remember who did or said what awesome things. Suffice it to say that everything was enjoyable and spectacularoso.

I got to play Guitar Hero with Morgan which was like... like... I can't think of anything approaching the same level of awesomeness. The closest cool activity I can think of is fighting Decepticons with Optimus Prime. Later she kissed me on each cheek!!! I got kissed by an SG! Those were kisses three and four. Ever.

Speaking of Guitar Hero. Strip poker was moving along quite nicely, with the succlent curves of several dazzling ladies starting to be revealed, when I had to make a decision.

So SaintInsomniac and I dueled playing Free Bird, and I beat him by around 30k points (a mere hair in GH scoring). He's out of practice, so I'm more than willing to rematch him. Then I dueled... and I'm really sorry, I forgot his name... and I was thoroughly pwnzorred. It was so humbling. But in a good way, for now I am driven to excel.

Apparently while this was going on, strip poker continued, but did not devolve (or escalate?) into a wild orgy because there weren't enough girls. So I saw no tits. I did ROCK, however, and to quote Tenacious D, "The main thing that we do is to rock your socks off."

I think I crashed around 2am, and I woke up at 7ish. Much to my horror, I couldn't find my memory card, and I found out after I drove back to North Carolina that it's apparently still at SaintInsomniac's place. I have no way to practice Guitar Hero, and I can feel my 1337 skillz atrophying by the second.

Despite that minor drawback, it was a superb experience that I hope to repeat someday. Thanks so much to everyone!
