So... beau and I went to the "midnight magic" party for the release of the final installment in the Harry Potter series on Friday night.
I feel better about how I managed to get a book without a reservation or pre-ordering than I do about the book itself. It wasn't horrible and there were parts I really liked, but mostly it felt like
A) The author was trying too hard with this one and
B) She was also trying to sync the final book with the movies as if they were/are more important
Which sucks. Because the movies suck.
I didn't expect it to go fully according to my agenda, but my agenda was marvelous and brilliant and would have made for a better ending to this epic series.
I'm disappointed. The bitch sold out.
Ah well.

Oh good lord! There may be a bun in the oven.
I'll be finding out soon.
Otherwise: I still need a job. Life is entirely too mediocre right now. Bleh.
