I saw NADA SURF last night, it was my 4th time...each time gets bette and better. their two opening acts were eh...the first was decent, the other had their guitars up way too loud and the microphones too low...couldn't hardly hear a word. we were right up front, me and my pal Kristin were most deffinetly the oldest fans there, most of the kids there could only sing along w/ the songs from their latest record, LET GO. i knew every song except for the brand new oness they're working on. not that this will mean anything to anyone, they played: Stalemate, 80 Windows, Amateur, Blonde on Blonde, Happy Kid, The Way You Wear Your Head, Blizzard of '77, Fruit Fly, Paper Boats, Inside of Love...there's more i just can't rememeber...so afterwards, i went and got my copy of LET GO signed by the singer, Matthew (let go is the only cd of theirs that i dont have signed...i think i have every thing that's available on cd) and FINALLY,FUCKING FINALLY after meeting them 3 times, he say ''you look familiar" i told him i'd seen them 3 other times... kristin took a pic of us, he was all sweaty, then we talked to Ira, the drummer...he's tall and lanky, like REALLY TALL and thin and he's really funny, and cute when he drums,makes all these faces. he was wearing a ''fuck bush'' hat, it was great. so we go talk to him, and he signs my cd, and while he's doing this kristin puts her balls to the wall and asks if he will go home w/ her. he kind of stops. he says he froze and was totally unprepared for that question...he throws his hands up & says "sure, give it a shot'' and we all laught, he says he would if he wasn't going home w/ his mom (aww). he sign her poster and we ask him to pose for a picture w/ her, and says ''after that, i'll do anything you ask'' (hehe)so they get all set up and i take the picture, but he says to take another one cause he was making a stupid face. so i do, and i get all close up, he's looking straight at her while she's looking at the camera, but by the time the camera takes the picture, he turned and faced the camera too.. after the pic, he gives her a long peck on the space just below where her ear meets her jaw line
even i was jealous. as we walk outside to find Daniel the bass player, Ira walks w/ us and kristin says ''i'm just going to preted that you really came home w/ me anyway" so he puts up his hands, gesturing to the size of his penis and say '' if we're going to pretend, we might as well go all the way'' and she gets all shocked, it was cute.
so we go out and find Daniel
, wait patiently for him to finish his converstaion w/ some lady. when he opens my cd case to sign, he sees my name is Danielle (my real name, obviously) he says ''you have a great name'' i tell him so does he. he write hello namesake in spanish in my cd booklet (he's from spain), it was cool. he posed for a picture w/ me and it turned out sooooo cool, cause he put his arm around me and i just kind of curled into the crook of his arm and put my hand on is chest, so it looks like a picture of two people who know eachother, not a fan and a musician... all three of them seemed shocked that i had seen them 4 times...it was a great fucking show!!!!!!!
