I work at a restaurant. For the 4 years i've worked there, i've noticed one thing: when a couple comes in and they're obviously on their first date, the guys most of the time would give me the cold shoulder. Especially when their date is a really attractive lady. Only until they see that the girl is comfortable and being nice to me, would they only then start being "nice" and actually reply when i ask them something... I can understand when some girls retract their claws when another females around but I don't understand why the dude would be rude. My guess is to show their date that they're not interested ? Makes sense to me. 
In any case, it makes me laugh none the less. I know when I was out and about with my boyfriend and i see an attractive women, i would instantly become jealous and if said attractive lady was tending to us, i would be extra nice to them... Not that I'm mean normally just saying I honestly feel like a dude trying to make her like me. hah... I don't swing that way. I'm weird, but at least i attract the most interesting people 
All in all, insecure couples never cease to amuse me.
