I work in a hospital as a receptionist for the clinical area for radiology. I see and have to deal with numerous doctors everyday. 99% of them never remember me and don't give a shit.
A few months ago, I was helping a new GI doctor with our digital imaging system and noticed how flippin' hot he was. He was also a huge flirt. I had sort of a crush on him for a bit until I found he was married and was expecting a child.
Fast forward to a month ago and my possible pancreatitis or pancreatic mass:
My normal doctor refers me to said hot GI doctor above. Today was my appointment with him. I'm nervous. I hate doctors. I hate working with them. I hate seeing them. I especially hate seeing hot ones.
I'm sitting there, in the chair, waiting for him to come in. He enters and stops in the door way, staring at me. It was the weirdest thing ever. As I just smiled at him, a really weird grin grew across his face. Finally, after the most akward thirty seconds, he asks me where he knows me from. I tell him. He proceeds with the necessary questions and I give my rehearsed answers. But then he stops and starts asking me random ass questions. Example:
"So, where exactly does your stomach hurt? Wait. So are you a student here now?"
I was so frickin' weird. I mean weird. This went on for about forty minutes. That was how long I was in the room with him just talking about random ass shit. I would say out of those forty minutes, only ten were in any regard to my abdominal trouble.
It would have really creeped me out if he didn't bare a remarkable resemblence to Luke Wilson.
So what's wrong with me? He thinks my stomach is depressed. Bascially, I have Irritated Bowel Syndrome of my upper intestinal tract caused by a lack of chemical that caused depression. Because of this, my stomach doesn't expand as far as a normal stomach, causing pain when it's as much as 5% full. On top of this, he also believes I am allergic to raw fruits and vegetables as well as anything with a high sugar content. When I eat these things, it causes gas, expanding my stomach much more than needed, and with my already sensitive stomach, it puts me in intense pain.
He is the first person to have ever given me a answer to my problem. I still have to have a catscan just to rule out the possible pancreatic mass/pancreatitis that was seen on my ultrasound.
(Is it weird that both of my doctors are hot? They are. I think I may have done that on purpose, subconsciously, of course.)
