It has seriously been *months* since I last had access to this page.
Recent developments:
After a decade of subterranean dwelling, I have finally moved above ground. It's so bright up here!! ack.
I suddenly like this town exponentially more now that I am no longer living in the middle of the buttfuck nowhere northern marches.
I love that my little roach is finally happy and secure in his *own* space, which makes him an infinitely more tolerant soul. Having the roach happy makes *me* happy. GodDAMN do I ever love that lil roach.
I love being a five minute walk from my favorite sushi place.
I love having one of the sweetest creatures alive, my little dharma soulmate, living in the basement suite.
I love how happy my critters are in the fresh air and sunlight, and the giant back yard and apple trees and giant workshop that have all magically appeared in the last month!!
I love that in a city with a housing crisis (where people have been living in campgrounds for months) we managed to land a choice location, rent controlled little piece of bliss.
I love that the troll is about a hundred miles away, safely past life-force-sucking distance and will STAY that way from now on.
Life is looking really good. Happy almost. I don't know what I am going to do with myself if I have nothing to bitch about!! I may just implode.
Well, except the part where my job of 5 years just screwed me up the pooper and I will be decending into the graveyard rhealm in exactly 12 days.... I have been up and down the choices about 20 times, and was ready to quit, but...? Really its a hard choice to make when you're accustomed to flying for nearly free and the cold is already nipping at your August-kissed toes.
Vegas daily after Sept 18. What can I say? I'm a benefit whore. I have resigned to making it 8 months until I got back to school instead of 3. We're only getting older, older, older....... but what does it matter?? I'm already an underachiever and a self-loathing narcissist with an unfounded superiority complex; I may as well stick to what I'm good at.
