hey! so do you like my picture of Borat? Borat is so funny. yesterday morning I had surgery at the Hospital of Joint Diseases on East 17th Street. I had injured myself weightlifting back at thanksgiving and messed up some nerves in the elbow. I figured the doc would make a quick incision, do his thing, and I would be outof there. But oh no, this was the real deal, with a staff of people tending to me, I got wheeled out of the OR into the recovery room, all groggy, and regretting to not have gotten anyone to be with me. Still, they called mybrother and he came and, we left 4 hours later.
They had shot the anesthesia right at the shoulder. My arm was completely dead. it was crazy. i had to carry it, like you carry a piece of bread.
anyway, so I got home, and then took too many painkillers, perhaps, and fell asleep, until this morning. So there you have it. I have this long and tight bandage around the right arm. But healthy and sane.
