The Sub Base is staying open.
I wish I could get more excited about it. But the plan still isn't solid as to what to do with my lab. Part of the BRAC plan was to consolidate all the military labs as much as possible. So, my job may still move to Maryland.
I don't want to live in Maryland. Connecticut is about as congested as I would like to live. Not only wouldn't I be able to afford at house like my meager one, but I'd get a pay cut too. So, I'd have to move back to an apartment. I have so much house stuff now, I have no idea where I'd put everything.
I hope the base doesn't close, and the lab stays put. Or I get a new job. Should work out.

This summer I had to go through an obnoxious job transition... Many, many hopes that whatever heads your way, you'll be able to see it a long time coming.
