My Mom came over last night. She wasn't coming really to visit me and Brankauti. She was coming down 'cause my father was visiting my sister. So, my Mom had to get out of the house before he got there.
We had putinesca for dinner. I thought we had olives, but we didn't.
So I had to make up some of the ingredients. We made the spagetti with my new pasta maker attachment for my Kitchenaid. Yay! It took a lot of time. But was fun and tastey. Once we made the sauce and combined it with the spagetti, it was very tastey!!! Yum. 
My Mom and Brankauti shared two bottles of wine.
We passed several hours waiting for midnight by bitching about everyone and everything. We spent over half the time on my father. ugh. But fun, in an odd way.
My Mom passed out on my couch. At 11:57 I woke her up and said, "3 minutes 'til New Years!"
"Wha...oh. happy new year...zzzzzz"

I woke up early to make waffles before I had to take my Mom to the airport. I was inspired by the waffle episode of Good Eats. Made some yummy waffles. I had one regular and one chocolate. I wish I could fit more down my gullet. 
Brankauti's college friends are coming over and we're going to finish off the putinesca and waffles. 
Probably not at the same time. 
Good way to start the year!! How was everyone else's start?
Not sure what to do with my day off tomorrow.
Maybe I'll drag Brankauti out bowling. Go tell her how much fun bowling is. teehee
