Although I'm naturally a sadist, I've been pretty masochistic lately. Tomorrow I'm closing on the house, meeting with a surgeon and picking up my mother from the airport. I did the final walk through tonight. Everything was good except ..... there was fucking water in the basement. Keep in mind the place is 115 years old and there is nothing downthere but cobblestone. Still! Now my agent tells me he got a call, it's possible that everything won't be ready for tomorrow. I told him that I have the combo to the lock and that I'm movin' in anyway! The place is so awesome. My one cosmetic complaint is that they put in new carpet BEFORE painting and remodeling. Not sure if it'll clean up or if I need to stock up on area rugs. Anywho, I'm off to bed, hoping that I'll actually sleep. Some pain medication will help. It feels as though it's all a dream......
