I'm so excited! I've decided to participate in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. I did it a few years back but ended up in an ambulance after 13 miles. This time I'm gonna make it. 40 miles in 2 days. My grandmother had an emergency masectomy during Christmas and I think this is the best way to honor her. As if the distance didn't feel impossible, I have to raise $1800.00 before I can walk. I set up my fundraising page and sent out emails about my plans to friends and family. So far I'm 28% towards my goal.

It's really easy, you can donate right on line at the site. Even though it isn't until May 2008, I started training last weekend. My boy and I went out and walked 5 miles this weekend w/o any problems. Hopefully things will continue to go smoothly. I'm committed to walking every weekend. I'll keep you updated, thanks for all of your support!
